                                     Mayadwip
Today I will talk briefly about this island which was awakened in the river Meghna
about a hundred years ago. To the locals, the island is also known as Nunertech. It
is unknown at this time what caused the island to be named Nunertech. However,
according to some locals, the island was once named Nunertech because of the existence of salt in the river water. However, at present there is no salt in the
river. About 40 years ago today, another island, Nunerte, was awakened. There
were three parts of it namely: Guchhgram, Sabujbagh and Rojuna Char. And the
vast expanse in front of that cluster village is the present Mayadwip. Surrounded
by nature sanctuaries, this island will fall in love with any nature lover. The island
is submerged during the monsoons, but is revived in the dry season. This hide-
and-seek game of the island with nature seems to have given tourists a different
identity. Standing on this island, you will be mesmerized by the magnificent view
of nature from one side and the fishing scene of fishermen in the Meghna from
the other side.

                                            How to get to Mayadwip
However, since my post is written for foreign tourists, the address was
given from Dhaka Airport:

Step-1: From Shahjalal International Airport to Gulistan by Uber .

Step-2: From Gulistan, get on the bus again at Mograpara Crossroads. From Mograpara Crossroads, you can take a rickshaw directly to Panama City.

Some words:

1.You can take pure drinking water and some dry food before going to the island.

2.If you want, you can take a bath in the river, so you can keep extra clothes with you.

3.  Refrain from drinking river water.

4.  Do not waste natural resources.

5. Refrain from dumping any kind of dirt in the river water.

6.You will have the opportunity to see nature up close on this island, so try to
   understand nature without wasting time.

Here are some tips for your travel:
Mayadwip can be visited by visiting some more historical places. For example, if you want to go to Mayadwip, you have to go through Panam Nagar, so on the way to Mayadwip, you can visit Panam Nagar, Bara Sardar House and Folk Art Museum. You can also visit the Goaldi Mosque. But it is entirely your personal matter. I hope the information will come in handy. Thanks
