Kalatali Beach, Cox's Bazar

                                                 Kalatali Beach
Kalatali Beach is a little ahead of Laboni Point. This beach is also quite sandy. Most of the similarities between Kalatali beach and Cox's Bazar beach can be found. Kalatali beach can be reached by walking for 10-15 minutes from Laboni point. Like Cox's Bazar beach, it is also a popular destination for visitors. Someone is bathing in the sea, someone is taking pictures, someone is eating dab and someone is standing on the beach or enjoying the sea with unblinking eyes. However, one thing here is quite unexpected for tourists. If you stand on the beach, you can see the open sea on one side, but on the other side you can see some tall buildings, which are completely undesirable for tourists. All these buildings are threatening the environment here day by day. Which is adversely affecting the environment. Therefore, the Appellate Division has directed to demolish all the structures that have been constructed from Labani Point to Kalatali to resolve this critical situation. As a result, according to government directives, more than 20 3-star and 5-star hotels have been set up in Jilenza mouza on the beach, as well as a number of other hotels, large and small. The verdict was published on the Supreme Court's website a few days ago. The verdict also called for compensation for the victims. In fact, these installations were originally built on lease from Laboni Point to Kalatali after 1999. In 1999, the government published a gazette declaring the area from Laboni Point to Kalatali as an environmental crisis. The Supreme Court has given this verdict for disobeying that gazette and giving lease. Attorney General Mahbubey Alam also sees this verdict as a milestone.

However, I think the implementation of this verdict will change the image of the beach here. Nature will return to its former form.
